Allsorts challenge week 413 - Embossing

We are on week 413 and the challenge at Allsorts is Embossing - wet or dry.

Here is my card.

For a change I decided to go for the dry embossing.
I have used a Tonic Studio embossing folder, Simple Stripes
This was the best photo I could get what with the mirri card and the white card.
X-cut flower punches
Gold mirri card.
Some gold ribbon and some gold peel off dots.

To be honest it was supposed to be the other way up, flowers at the top and sentiment at the bottom but I had a senior moment!

Rudolph Day - April 2017

Well here we are again, another Rudolph Day over at Scrappy Mo's a chance for you to get ahead with your Christmas cards for this year and the chance to win a lovely prize.

 I know that this is an old Woodware stamp but I have wanted it for ages and it was always out of stock but managed to get hold of it at the end of last year.

Allsorts challenge week 412 - Something beginning with B

It is Brenda's turn to choose the challenge and as the header says, she has chosen ....

Something beginning with B (no, a photo of Brenda will not count)

I have chosen Buttons and Blue 

A few weeks ago I decided that it was time I used some of my very old collection of buttons and I thought I would try to make some button flowers, these were my first attempt. It was a bit of a struggle at first but then I found it dead easy

I made them into a card using Honey Doo Crafts stamp - Flower Fountain.
Stamped with Memento Bamboo Leaves.

Covered the actual flowers on the stamp with the button flowers, there is an odd one or two where a bit of the flower shows but this actually look like a bit of a leaf IRL.

Now listen carefully 'cos I shall say this only once "I was really  pleased with this card".
I feel I have never said that before and feel that I may never say it again.

I have used memory Box die Glorious Gerber Daisies, I have cut it down as I don't like the leaves at the bottom of the die.
The papers are Nitwits
Ribbon SU and a computer generated sentiment.

Snippets Playground weeks 273 and 274

First of all a HUGE THANK YOU to Di for showcasing my card last Sunday for the previous two week challenge.

Snippets Playground

The stamp is Woodware Marguerita Patch
Stamped with Rose Red Memento dew drop ink pad.
The papers are the reverse side of Kaisercraft Party Time Collection 12 x 12 papers.
I actually bought 3 sheets of this papers as I really loved the colours on the reverse side, pinks and peaches. I have one full sheet left though.

This card was made from the from about a quarter of the sheet that was left from the second
sheet for the background and a little bit that was left from the first sheet to paper piece the flower.
Cards not blogged yet using the other pieces of the papers.
A little bit of Stickles Thistle glitter glue (love this colour) in the centre of the flower.

No sentiment on, as yet, because I have loads of cards with Happy Birthday on so I decided to start leaving a sentiment off some cards so they could be used for any occasion.

Today, Wednesday the 12th was my 48th Wedding Anniversary, went out for a super Lunch, can tell we are getting old as one time it would have been an Evening meal.

All things Spring

I have used Penny Black 30-344 - Sunny Wishes stamp.

To be honest I have had this stamp for quite a while and have tried and tried to colour it but have never been happy with my colouring.

So I made a background, with my pan scourers, using distressed inks to represent Crocus, Daffodils and Tulips.
Stamped over it with Memento Grape Jelly.
The backing card is a lovely light green but looks like turquoise and the 6 x 6 card is white

Here is my card.

I have used the Woodware stamp - Mega Ice Cream
The DP is called Sprinkles by Websters Pages
I have used Glossy accents on the ice cream
Black lettering are peel offs
The numbers and name are die cuts.

It is his Birthday on the 2nd April and he just loves ice cream, preferably with a flake.

Reminds me of The Harbour Bar in Scarborough, was the best Ice Cream Parlour in the World, or so all our Family thought, couldn't go to Scarborough without calling at the Harbour Bar.
